I made it! The journey -- 5 airports in 32 hours -- wasn't as bad as I feared. My luggage arrived with me, which was a pleasant surprise. And Gulf Air's flight was the only international flight arriving in the early morning (most international flights to B'lore land in the middle of the night) so customs and baggage claim (normally chaotic and very slow) were quick and easy.
