This was my week of 'firsts' in India:

• my first day of work (great, except for the hellish commute)
  
• my first ride on the back of a scooter (a little nerve-wracking for me to be helmet-less in such crazy traffic but I can also see why it's the perfect way to get around here)
  
• my first glimpse of B'lore nightlife (lots of fun but sadly brief -- everything closes at 11:30pm, because of a new law)
• my first taste of Indian beer, Kingfisher (pretty good, esp. considering the price)
• and best of all, my first protest here! (I participated in an anti-eve-teasing action organized by the Blank Noise Project which was amazing! more on that later)

No new pictures though, as my camera has run out of batteries...
